may you briefly feel at ease in a world of dis-ease sweet friend I wish I could hold your face and just say it will be okay
but it won't and that isn't okay it's not okay how they no how we hurt you it's not okay how we push you it's not okay how we erase you
I want to look into your eyes and see human beautiful shining I love you
and I hope as the hurt in wave upon wave awakes and breaks and cakes on the shores of your crying face you allow yourself one moment to briefly feel at ease
(a message (or love letter) from a devastated, poetic, white, straight, Christian, American, cis-gender woman grappling with her own inherent privilege, power, weakness and failure but also just hoping to love each one of you in some sort of way, today, every day)
